Spring Chopped Salad. Snap peas + carrots + celery + radishes + celery + radishes + scallion + hard boiled egg + pea tendrils + sunflower seeds + olive oil + seas salt + white wine vinegar + pepper.
Farmer's Market Haul. All the good things are coming into the Oregon markets. Last weekend I picked up early season strawberries (just about the best thing on earth), pea tendrils, carrots, asparagus, bok choy, radishes, fava tops, mizuna, snap peas, and kimchi. Here are some of my favorite tips for navigating the farmer's market.
Chive Blossom Crown. Elle decided she needed to pick all the chive blossoms from the garden to decorate "queen mama's" hair. I kind of loved the look.
Lovely Lovejoy Salad. My favorite "off-the-menu" salad from Lovejoy Bakers in the Pearl. The hazelnut salad + avocado + hard boiled egg + grapefruit. Kind of like this Grapefruit and Avocado Salad with Lemon Chive Dressing. So good!
Counting Down the Days. There were many late nights the past few months to get the new website ready for launch this week. So happy to be finished and ready to refocus on content and recipe development.
Perfect Afternoon Snack. Blueberries + strawberries + sunflower seed butter + cinnamon. Almond butter also works in place of sunflower seed butter.
Mother's Day Love. I was lucky to spend Mother's Day with my mom and daughter. Elle just loves my mom so darn much. Seeing them together makes my heart bust.
